It’s been true for years and years: One of the “must-attend” events for any Colorado GOP candidate is the Arapahoe County Men’s Club breakfast. I appreciate Men’s Club President Mary Wenke for giving me the opportunity to share a few thoughts about how Colorado’s fiscal policies have gone off track. I also want to thank Bo and Lynn Cottrell for introducing me to so many great Republicans (and not just from Arapahoe County!). I’m looking forward to many more Wednesday morning return appearances at the Men’s Club.

Yes, there are young Republicans in Denver! Congratulations to Brett Moore and all the Denver Metro Young Republicans for expanding membership and getting younger folks in the metro area ready to bring real change to Colorado in 2010. I reminded all these young and energetic Republicans that they, and their friends, will be key to victory next year.

Thanks to Fred Holden and the members of the Jeffco Men’s Club for hosting me this morning. A great crowd that asked thoughtful questions. My message of a return to fiscal responsibility and a commitment to basic taxpayer protections drew a very positive reaction.
